Another beautiful colorful vegetarian dish I learned from Sheena of Savsani!
½ Cup channa dal
½ chopped yellow onion
1 chopped tomato
½ Teaspoon tumeric powder
½ Teaspoon Kosher Salt
1 Teaspoon olive oil
Soak channa dal beans overnight in water. Next day drain them. Boil 1 cup of water and add channa dal. Boil until soft, approximately 5 - 10 minutes. Strain them.
Saute onion, tomato, and turmeric in olive oil. Add salt.
Toss warm vegetables with channa dal and top with cilantro.
