During the summer months when it's bathing suit season I get pretty serious about eating low fat and healthy. I visit my favorite farm stands almost every single morning to see what has been picked and looks great. In late June early July our strawberries are incredible. Most times for breakfast I eat greek 0% plain yogurt with fruit and occasionally steel oats with fresh fruit with a dribble of honey or cinnamon. I've been experimenting with chia seeds recently and really like them. I add them to my smoothies, sprinkle them on yogurt, and recently have been making chia seed breakfast bowls.
Take 2 to 3 heaping tablespoons of chia seeds to 1 cup of almond milk. Cover with plastic and leave in refrigerator over night. Next morning place in blender with lots of fresh fruit, 2 scoops of your favorite protein powder, a tablespoon or 2 of wheat germ or ground flax seeds and blend. If you love honey like I do pour some in as well. This is the breakfast OF CHAMPIONS!!!
