Hosted a lovely dinner at our home with the author Dana Thomas as a special guest. She shared with us the process of her writing her latest book, GODS AND KINGS: THE RISE AND FALL OF ALEXANDER MCQUEEN AND JOHN GALLIANO.
Unfortunately I forgot to take photos of the food I served but the guests ate their plates clean.
Being Summer and the farm stand are bursting with color, I choose a classic Summer menu.
First Course - Zucchini Soup with a dollop of creme fraiche on top with sprinkled Cilantro
Second Course - Lettuce picked that morning and big juicy beefsteak tomatoes with an aged Balsamic Vinegar and a deep, heavy Italian Olive Oil
Main Course - Corn cut off the cob and sauteed with butter, my ratatouille, and halibut poached in olive oil with a dollop of my pesto on top.
Dessert - Peach and Rasberry Crisp with my homemade vanilla bean ice cream on top (which everyone opted for).
I'll add these recipes individually.
