Ginger is one of those funky looking foods that is good for you, can be used in everytype of dish from soups, sauces, even drinking it with honey and lemon. It has been used by many different cultures for food but as well as medicinally. On top of all of that it is considered an aphrodisiac. So cook with it whenever possible.
A friend of mine gave all this to me as a gift (don't you just love the gift of food).
As I go through some of my recipes, I can't decide what I should make tonight for dinner: I could start with Mr. Kate's Vegetable Soup (which I found in her super cute blog). Then for our main course do Salmon with Ginger Sauce (which is in my cookbook that I learned in Paris with a cooking class). I could serve it with pureed carrots with a bit of ginger. Then I'll end our dinner with some ginger snap cookies. I better get started...
